Christmas + My cooking project + A random video

Soooo, it's been a while, and a busy while for me anyways; Christmas shopping for a whole week, just going through every single store possible. I realized it's past Christmas, but I said I'd write about it, so I am. Here goes!

So my family and relatives celebrate Christmas kinda differently; instead of partying on the 24th and wake up on the 25th to open presents, we party on the 24th till 12am and open presents. By then though, half of my cousins are all dead tired, but have some kind of sugar rush that keeps them up until they open all of their presents. We celebrated at my grandparent's place, seeing as we've been celebrating the last 7 ones at my house o.o The presents I received weren't the kinds that I'd go "OMIGOSH THANKS!!!" over, but I'm still glad I got them (I'm not gonna say what I got and sound like some spoiled kid who brags about his presents o.o). Some of the presents that were wrapped up came from "Santa Claus", which kinda makes me laugh (Call me a non-believer, but I don't think Santa exists). The presents that did come from Santa came by 2 or 3 people who have different writing styles; one wrote cursive, the other bold, and another just fancy-ish. If you actually thought about it, why would Santa write in 3 different fonts? Anyways, my cousins are almost all younger than me, so they still believe in him.

I've told some people that I'd be starting a cooking project (cooking dinner for my family), but I didn't know when. What made me stop procrastinating was that my cousin from the U.S came over to visit and celebrate Christmas with everyone here, so I wanted to do something for her. Why not cook dinner for her? I thought. It would be "killing two birds with one stone" like some people say. We took quite a lot of photos, and I posted some on Facebook, so people who actually know me can go and see. For those who don't, I'll put a picture up. The food tasted really good, so I'm kinda proud of myself XD

A random video? Not just ANY random video; a Twilight spoof trailer! I was at one of the many parties my family was invited to, and my friend there showed me the video. Sure, it mocked Twilight, but it was HILARIOUS! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dompotjTeIA Hope you find it funny like I did XD

One thing I didn't add in the title was my parent's anniversary party. It's a party I'll actually enjoy, since they're inviting family friends and relatives over. If you're wondering, it's their 19th anniversary, which I didn't find out till like, a week ago. Yes, I'm such a bad son for not remembering, and I feel guilty. Then again, I don't really happen to remember anything these days, like my dad's cell phone number, when each period ends at my school, even 911 (Yeahhh, I thought it was 991 for a day)!
I guess I'll be writing after the anniversary party, so see you 'til then!

Random Post on my DS

So this is an extremely random post about my DS, but hey, isn't that the reason why I named my blog what it's name? I was spending half an hour or so (Yeah, I know. I'm such a nerd) trying to add homebrew stuff into my DS. Internet instructions sure can be confusing, so that's why I took so long, but it all paid off. The homebrew is called DSOrganizer, which comes in handy a LOT. It has a calender, things-to-do organizer, clock, an MP3-format song player, movie player, picture viewer, and this application which is almost similar to Paint. There's still a lot more stuff I've still to discover, but it's homework time, so cya!

Been Such a Long Time, Eh?

So yeahhhh...Yay for extremely slacking! It's been such a long time (Almost a month to be precise). I guess homework's to blame, and I say this cause I've been staying up later than usual finishing it. I'll attempt to recall everything that's happened these 3 weeks or so, but if I cut off, I hope you know what to blame =)

So uhhhhh, I guess I'll start near late November. Apparently the student council came up with the spirit day of "Pajama Day". If you don't know me, I'm not that type of guy that dresses up. It's pretty sad though, since the whole student council has to dress up to set an example. The two top people in the council, the treasurer and president, did a pretty crappy job. The president brought a TEDDY BEAR, and the treasurer didn't wear ANYTHING. Now that's just sad, since the other half of the school dresses up. Kinda makes you think why they got the job... Anyways, they didn't really get nagged by anyone, which I thought they should have, but oh well.

Moving into December! Quite a crazy month, since everyone's all over the various holidays and the 2 week break. At this time of the school year, the high schools also host their info nights. I only went to the Agincourt one, since that's the high school I want to get into. My home high school though, Stephen Leacock, had theirs on the same day as Agincourt's, so I didn't get the chance to go. The info night was quite boring, since they kept going on and on about their various clubs and programs for students "to have their chance to shine". I hadn't really thought about high school much until 2 weeks ago, since it kinda is depressing to. Almost all of your friends get split up, and it's harder to stay in touch. High schools apparently check your report cards, which brings me to my next topic.

Report cards came out December 1st, and I guess I was ok with mine. 80% average, not as good as last years, but sure, it works. I did surprisingly well in math (Got two 70s on the unit tests, but got 80s on report card). Some random things did show up. I was away twice, but they marked me down 3 times. They also marked me down as late twice, though I never was. My cooking mark was also awkward. My teacher gave me an 83, which was pretty good, but her comments weren't. "Anthony is unaware of his surroundings and doesn't care about other's safety". Pretty strange since I'm the one telling the others to hold a knife properly o.o This brings me to yet another topic.

Gasp! It's parent-teacher interviews! The thing everyone dreads (Well, me anyways). The student council was there to help out, since it isn't a schedule kind of interview, but a first-come first-serve thing. I spoke to my homeroom teacher, who gave me good comments throughout. I also spoke to my cooking teacher, which was another strange moment. She said I did pretty well, but when my dad asked about the comments she gave me, she just said I did well o.o Maybe there's something else that she didn't tell me...

So we're having a ski day in February, but they gave out forms just last week. Quite a lot of people are going, but I'm looking forward to it. Skiing is soooo fun, even when you fall! XD Too bad you only get to go once a school year here. I'm going for the blue sticker, since that lets you go on most of the lifts. Last year I only reached yellow, which was under blue, since some kid jabbed his skis into my side. I had difficulty skiing after that, so when I took the test for the blue sticker, I failed miserably.

Now to current events. We got our application forms for the high schools we wanted to go to, but I took one for my home high school as well, just in case I didn't make it into ACI. The form looks soooo confusing, even when our school guidance councilor explained it to us. My sister filled out the same form last year, so I hope she still remembers. I still have a while to fill it out, but my guidance councilor wants it back on Monday, so I'll have to hurry.

Last thing on my long list: THE DANCE! Our school auditorium was under construction, so we couldn't do the movie. It was either go to the dance or attend regular classes, so almost everyone in the school went. Our school rock band played, and they were pretty good, even if it was only 2 songs. The student DJs did a fairly good job, and they picked out most of the songs my class wanted. The only downsides were that they had to pause between songs since they don't know how to "link" the songs together. The other downside was that the teachers in charge kept making announcements for ID tags and such, so that killed the spirit a little. Other than that, the dance was good overall.

I might make a Christmas post later on, but this is the end, so until then!
